Young Musician Spotlight
November 2, 2018 Concert
Shane Denison started playing violin at age five and joined his first orchestra at age seven at Victor Valley Community College in Victorville, CA. His incredible talent earned him a spot with the Preludium Orchestra at VVC only two years later and a position as Principal 2nd one year later at age 10. Shane’s continued performance with the VCC eventually resulted in a seat with the Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Thomas Miller.
Shane joined the Army ROTC and after graduating from high school in 2016, moved to Prescott where he attends Embry Riddle Aeronautical University studying Global Security and Intelligence. He also joined the Prescott Chamber Orchestra that same year. In addition to his impressive academic and military commitments now and for the next 10 years, this young, 20 year-old musician remains dedicated to music. “I love playing orchestral music, particularly with the smaller classical chamber orchestras like the PCO.”
